Vessel Vanguard and SeaLogs have merged, combining vessel maintenance, compliance, digital logbooks, crew readiness and fleet reporting in one maritime operations platform. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
The combined company will operate as Vessel Vanguard, LLC, bringing together Vessel Vanguard’s maintenance scheduling, service records, inventory and asset management with SeaLogs’ digital logbooks, voyage records, compliance tools and crew management.
Existing services from both businesses will continue to be supported while the expanded Vessel Vanguard platform is prepared for release. Rollout details will be provided as they become available.
“Our customers trusted us to manage their maintenance. Now they can trust us to manage everything,” said Brian Hagan, chief executive of Vessel Vanguard.
“By merging strategically with SeaLogs, we have removed the last gaps and built something the maritime industry has needed for a long time.”
Fewer separate systems
Kylie Tomlin, founder of SeaLogs and president of Vessel Vanguard, said operators were looking for fewer separate systems rather than additional software.
“Operators don’t want more software. They want one platform that actually covers their operation end to end,” said Tomlin.
“By bringing SeaLogs into the Vessel Vanguard foundation, we have built complete fleet and vessel management in one place, purpose-built for maritime.”
The integrated platform is intended to connect vessel maintenance, digital logbooks, voyage records, safety and compliance management, crew certifications, inventory, fleet-wide reporting and mobile and offline capabilities.
Vessel Vanguard’s system is designed for a range of commercial and recreational vessels.
