Fountaine Pajot Group finalises acquisition of The Yacht Sales Co.

Fountaine Pajot Group has finalised its acquisition of a majority stake in The Yacht Sales Co. The two companies have now announced a joint venture to expand their presence in the Asia Pacific region.

The Fountaine Pajot Group encompasses Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts and Dufour Yachts manufacturing cruising yachts and catamarans.

The French-based Group recorded sales of €350 million for the 2023/2024 financial year, representing a 26.9% growth on the previous year.

The Yacht Sales Co, based in Asia Pacific, was formerly known as Multihull Solutions and specialises in new and quality pre-owned yacht sales with 15 sales locations across 11 countries in the region.

The company represents the Fountaine Pajot Group’s brands, as well as ILIAD Catamarans, Absolute Yachts, Maritimo, NEEL Trimarans, Tesoro Yachts, LEEN Trimarans and Cora Catamarans.

Brokerage division

The company also operates a pre-owned Brokerage division.

The partnership between the two companies follows a collaboration between The Yacht Sales Co. CEO Mark Elkington and the Fountaine Pajot Group that spans more than 25 years.

The partnership is being seen as a step forward in the company’s strategy to expand its service offerings throughout the Asia Pacific market.

Managing deputy CEO of the Fountaine Pajot Group Romain Motteau added that the joint venture will further strengthen the Group’s presence throughout Asia Pacific.
