Maiora, part of Next Yacht Group, has expanded its new M Collection with three models spanning the 30-metre, 37-metre and 53-metre segments.
The new models introduce a design language based on spatial continuity, larger volumes and a closer relationship between interior spaces and the sea.
M|38
The 37-metre M|38 is the flagship of the new line and was developed with Quartostile for exterior design and the Maiora Style Office with ACUBE Designer for the interiors.
It uses a full-beam bow, repositioned exterior volumes, extensive glazing, teak and structural detailing to create a contemporary profile, and is designed to reach a maximum speed of 30 knots with conventional propulsion.
The M|38’s stern is arranged as an extension of the living environment rather than a separate outdoor area.
Its beach area sits in continuity with the cockpit and includes folding bulwarks and a swimming pool with a flush-fitting retractable walk-on cover, creating a terrace over the water.
Accommodation is provided for up to 12 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite of about 45sqms, with an office-dressing area, vanity area and his-and-hers bathroom.
Crew accommodation is for five people, with the option to configure the area for up to seven. The main saloon measures around 51sqms, while the lower deck houses two VIP cabins and two guest cabins.
Quartostile designers Franco Carone, Matteo Broglia and Andrea Sartori say the M Collection was intended to redefine how people inhabit a yacht, rather than simply update its appearance.
“We wanted to eliminate the perception of a yacht made up of separate environments and instead imagine a continuous organism, in which interior and exterior spaces are in constant dialogue and the sea becomes part of the living experience,” they said.
M|53 model
The larger M|53 moves the concept into the steel and aluminium superyacht sector.
Designed by Luca Dini, it measures 53 metres and remains below 500GT. The project is centred on experience rather than size, with open, light-filled spaces, expansive glazing and a continuous connection between architecture, wellbeing and the surrounding landscape.
Dini explained the project began with the question of how a yacht could enhance time spent on board.
“The answer does not lie in adding more square metres, but in designing spaces that can adapt to people, their desires and the different moments of the day,” he said.
“M|53 was conceived as a place to live in before it is a yacht to navigate.”
Its main-deck owner’s suite is conceived as a private apartment of more than 100sqms across interior and exterior spaces, including a master cabin, study, dressing room, bathrooms, wellness area and panoramic forward terrace with swimming pool.
At the stern, a beach area with pool, lounge, bar and relaxation spaces is designed as the centre of social life on board.
The model also introduces an observatory deck at the highest point of the yacht, with movable covers intended to make the space usable in different seasons.
Maiora says the bow, stern and observatory deck form three focal points for experiencing the sea, with the yacht also designed for both private use and high-end charter.
M|30
The M|30, the first model in the collection, is a 30.4-metre yacht with a 7.5-metre beam, three decks and accommodation for up to 12 guests in five cabins. Powered by two 2,000hp MAN V12-2000 engines, it has a top speed of 21 knots.
Like the M|38, the M|30 was developed with Quartostile for the exterior and Maiora’s Style Centre with ACUBE for the interiors.
Its enlarged beach area connects directly with the cockpit, while the main deck includes a 36sqm saloon and a full-beam owner’s suite of about 30sqms. The lower deck contains four guest cabins and crew accommodation for up to five people.
Giorgio Mattei, deputy chairman of Next Yacht Group, said the collection reflects a broader view of contemporary luxury at sea, focused on the quality of time on board, personalisation, Italian design culture and the connection between indoor and outdoor living.
