FHG acquires Scott Marine Power

FHG Marine Engineering has acquired complementary Florida-based business Scott Marine Power (SMP).

Based in Fort Lauderdale, Scott Marine Power has served the marine industry for nearly 30 years.

Scott Marine Power’s portfolio includes authorised sales and service partnerships with a range of marine equipment manufacturers, including MAN, Aventics, Scania, Yanmar and other premier marine propulsion and auxiliary equipment suppliers.

“Scott Marine Power has earned the trust of the marine industry through more than 30 years of dedicated service and technical expertise,” said Richard Grennen president and chief executive officer of FHG.

“We are honoured to welcome the SMP team to FHG and are committed to preserving the relationships and reputation they have built.”

FHG intends to retain Scott Marine Power’s workforce, while using the combined capabilities of both organisations to enhance service, expand technical resources, and strengthen support across South Florida and beyond.

FHG provides maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, delivering technical services, project management, and lifecycle support solutions to the commercial, government, and offshore maritime sectors.

Scott Marine Power provides a range of services to the yachting, commercial shipping, cruise, and government marine sectors.
