Sunseeker reveals 45M Superyacht and new brand direction

Sunseeker has unveiled a new 45M Superyacht concept as the centre-piece of a broader brand relaunch announced during a global press conference at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The new 45-metre model marks a major step in the British builder’s superyacht ambitions and is intended to establish a new benchmark for the brand.

Conceived from a blank sheet of paper, the project introduces a more sophisticated design language, ambitious architecture and a highly personalised approach based around individual owner lifestyles.

Sunseeker says the 45M Superyacht signals its intention to develop a new generation of bespoke, owner-led yachts that are unique in specification and uncompromising in execution.

The model sits within a wider strategy focused on innovation, individuality and clearer differentiation between the company’s product ranges.

The announcements were made under newly appointed chief executive Scott Millar, who used the presentation to set out a renewed direction for the Poole-based yacht manufacturer.

New brand platform

Sunseeker also introduced a new brand platform, The Original Mavericks, intended to reflect the company’s history of challenging convention and creating distinctive products within the luxury yacht market.

“Sunseeker became one of the most admired names in yachting by refusing to follow convention,” said Millar. “This is a brand built by people willing to think differently, take risks and push boundaries. That spirit is central to our future.”

The relaunch also defines the principles that will guide future Sunseeker ranges. The company says each range will now carry a stronger individual identity, while remaining linked by shared Sunseeker design values.

The Predator range will continue to emphasise performance and power, Manhattan will focus on contemporary luxury, Ocean will be associated with exploration and capability, and Superyacht will represent the highest level of individuality and personalisation.

The future design language is expected to introduce cleaner profiles, stronger proportions, sharper glazing and more sculptural surfaces. Sunseeker says the aim is to create yachts with greater visual presence while retaining the recognisable DNA of the brand.

Millar said the relaunch was not simply a change in appearance, but a statement of intent for the next phase of the company’s development. The strategy centres on more distinctive products, deeper personalisation and a stronger connection between design, engineering and the owner experience.

New 86 Ocean Enclosed

Alongside the 45M Superyacht, Sunseeker also presented the new 86 Ocean Enclosed, a development of its Ocean Series. The model introduces a fully enclosed upper deck that combines wheelhouse and Sky Lounge functions, while retaining the volume, panoramic outlook and connection to the sea associated with the range.

The 86 Ocean Enclosed is designed around an 86-foot platform but is promoted as offering space and flexibility usually associated with larger yachts. It features expansive glazing, four cabins, optional main-deck owner accommodation and configurable interior arrangements intended to suit different ownership styles.

Sunseeker sales director Mark Chinery described the 86 Ocean Enclosed as a yacht for owners seeking “more space, more flexibility, more connection to the sea”, adding that its enclosed upper deck was intended to deliver a distinctive ownership experience within its category.

The company says the combined announcements mark the beginning of a long-term product and brand strategy during a period of renewed confidence under Millar’s leadership.
