UK-headquartered Ancasta Group has acquired Hayling Island-based Penguin Engineering, expanding its refit, repair and aftersales capabilities and adding specialist marine equipment expertise to its portfolio.
The acquisition is set to complement services provided by Ancasta Yacht Services and broaden the group’s support for boat owners.
Penguin Engineering’s product knowledge, supply network, spare-parts provision and technical advice will be integrated into Ancasta’s marine services operation.
Penguin Engineering, founded in 1982, has supplied marine equipment and onboard systems in the UK for more than four decades.
Customers include marine engineers and boatbuilders working on small commercial and leisure craft, superyachts and British powerboats.
The company is the sole UK importer for several brands including Eno, Force 10, Barka, ATI calorifiers, Carbonautica, Atlas Filtri water-filtration systems and Teak Wonder.
It also provides technical support and replacement parts throughout the life of those products.
Customer continuity
Penguin Engineering will retain its name within the Ancasta Group, intended to maintain continuity for customers, suppliers and partners while giving Penguin access to wider group resources.
