Integrel appoints chief commercial officer

Integrel Solutions has appointed Nick Holland as chief commercial officer as the company says its turnover has doubled over the past 12 months with an order book standing at approximately £7 million.

The marine technology company attributes growth to increased demand from boatbuilders and original equipment manufacturers worldwide for its hybrid propulsion and onboard power generation systems.

Recent developments include the first installations of Integrel E-Drive, which combines electric propulsion with high-output onboard power generation, and the launch of Integrel E-Power for powerboats.

The latter extends its power generation technology into additional market sectors.

Integrated technologies

Holland joins Integrel after more than 16 years at Navico Group, where he worked across marine power solutions and integrated technologies.

His remit will support relationships with existing and new OEM partners and the commercial development of Integrel’s products.

“The way we generate, store and use energy onboard is evolving rapidly, creating exciting opportunities for boatbuilders, OEMs and end users alike,” Holland said.

Integrel plans to launch a Boatbuilder Programme in 2027, offering closer technical and commercial support to help manufacturers integrate its technology into their vessels.

Investment in facilities

The company also plans to expand its headquarters and operational facilities in Hayle, Cornwall, to accommodate increased activity.

Further investment is planned at its research and development facilities in Hythe, Southampton, where work on electric motor technology is progressing.

“Nick’s appointment is an important addition to the team, and our planned investment in facilities and R&D will give us the capacity and capabilities to take the business forward,” said Trevor Howard, chief executive.

The planned facilities investment is intended to increase capacity and support further product development as the company expands its marine customer base.
