Istanbul-based shipyard Numarine has appointed Murat Şen as its new general manager.
Murat has worked for the Turkish builder across numerous departments for the last 18 years. His experience includes eight years as the shipyard’s factory manager.
“This is a great opportunity to lead the company that I’ve been in since I started my professional life,” he said. “Through my knowledge of the company culture and the team I believe the path to a successful future will continue for Numarine.”
The shipyard will also bolster its commercial side, with a new sales and marketing director Bengü Özdoğan, who will lead Numarine’s sales, after-sales and marketing initiatives.
She first joined Numarine in November 2023, having previously worked for MB92 Group.
She will use her knowledge of marketing, sales strategy and partnership management in her new role, which she has gained from her background in the banking and telecommunication industries.
The shipyard, which currently has a dozen yachts under construction, will launch three new superyachts in February, a 37XP and two 26XPs vessels which were introduced in 2023 as an 85-footer able to travel at 31 knots.
“After enjoying a truly bumper 2023 in terms of our sales, our whole team is looking forward to showcasing what we are capable of in 2024 and beyond, particularly through our unmatched expedition and explorer vessel such as the 30XP,” said Numarine founder and chairman Ömer Malaz. “Now with the valuable additional support of two such experienced individuals as Bengu and Murat, there will be nothing stopping us.”
