Brunswick Corporation has announced three senior leadership appointments following the group’s planned chief executive transition.
The group has appointed Will Sangster as executive vice president and president of Navico Group, Karly Yuds as senior vice president and president of Business Acceleration, and Marco Bracalente as chief technology officer.
All three appointments take effect on 1 January 2027, when Aine Denari succeeds Dave Foulkes as chief executive. Sangster replaces Denari at Navico, Yuds succeeds Sangster, and Bracalente takes over Denari’s technology responsibilities.
“These appointments reflect our meticulous long-term talent and succession planning efforts,” said Foulkes.
“I am confident that Will, Karly, and Marco will continue to advance Brunswick’s strategy, maintain its market momentum and continue to create value for our employees, customers, partners, and shareholders.”
Business Acceleration
Sangster currently leads Business Acceleration, including Freedom Boat Club and Brunswick’s finance, insurance, extended warranty and pre-owned boat activities.
During more than 15 years with Brunswick, he has also held senior Mercury Marine roles across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
At Navico Group, he will oversee Brunswick’s marine electronics, digital systems and power-management product portfolio.
Yuds is vice president of global supply chain and logistics at Mercury Marine, overseeing the supply base for its propulsion, parts and accessories businesses. She joined Mercury in 2016 and has held procurement and supply-chain posts of increasing responsibility.
Business Acceleration focuses on shared access, certified pre-owned boats, financing, insurance, extended warranties and related services. Yuds will also lead the continued scaling of Freedom Boat Club.
Product development
Bracalente will remain vice president of product development and engineering for Navico Group. As chief technology officer, he will lead Brunswick’s product technology strategy and advanced development in autonomy, connectivity, software-defined vessels and physical AI.
Incoming chief executive Denari said Sangster’s international commercial background would support Navico’s development of connected technologies, while Yuds’ operational and supply-chain experience suited Business Acceleration’s next phase.
On Bracalente, she said: “His deep technical expertise, collaborative leadership style, and passion for innovation make him exceptionally well positioned to lead Brunswick’s technology strategy.”
