Marcus Jungell has been appointed sales director for Orust Quality Yacht Group (OQY Group).
The Group comprises Arcona Yachts, Najad Yachts of Sweden and the service yard, Orust Yacht Service.
Marcus will join the Group on 15 January 2024 and take the lead for sales of Najad Yachts as well as Arcona Yachts.
He joins the Group having held many senior leadership positions including at both Nautor’s Swan, Baltic Yachts and most recently at X Shore, manufacturer of electric boats.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming Marcus to the team as our new sales director for Najad and Arcona,” said Fredrik Malmqvist, Group CEO. “He brings a wealth of international sales experience that both Arcona and Najad will benefit from, and I am sure that Marcus will help us accelerate our growth and take our brands to the next level.”
Significant investments
The appointment follows significant investments by the Group throughout 2022 and 2023 including the acquisition of Orust Yacht Service, Najad’s move back to Henån on the island of Orust, the build of a new showroom and the acquisition of Sail Yard, Arcona Yachts production yard.
Along with Marcus’s appointment, the management team of OQY Group is also being restructured. Marcus Lindström takes the role of head of production at Najad Yachts and also Orust Yacht Service.
Magnus Larsson is now head of production at Arcona Yachts.
Fredrik Malmqvist will continue in his role as CEO of the OQY Group including both Arcona and Najad.
“This restructure of the Group will enable Arcona, Najad and Orust Yacht Service to prosper further and fully utilise the wealth of knowledge and facilities that we have across the Group for the benefit of our customers,” said Håkan Eksandh, OQY Group Owner. Urban Lagnéus has left Arcona.
