Vitters Shipyard has officially opened its new shed at its premises in Zwartsluis, Netherlands.
Construction began last September on the 80 metres long, 30 metres wide and 16 metres high shed.
The expansion will allow the family-owned Dutch shipyard, which was founded in 1990, to work on larger projects.
The new shed was inaugurated by the children of Vitters employees, under the motto: “Children are the future — Vitters is ready for the future.”
In addition to the new shed, Vitters has turned the hull of Project 3095, a 68-meter, classically styled sailing yacht.

The shipyard will now move on to the next phase of construction, which will take place in the new facility.
The team will focus on the outfitting phase, which includes working on the electrical systems, installations, painting, deck work, and interior development.
“We are incredibly proud of these achievements and look forward to the future as we continue to bring Project 3095 to life in our new shed,” said a shipyard spokesperson.
“This is the phase when the true beauty of this magnificent yacht will come to life.”
The ketch has been designed by Hoek Design with features including long overhangs, classic lines and traditional finishes.
The interior is also designed by Hoek Design, working with American designer, Bunny Williams of Williams Lawrence inc. on the interior decoration.
Design features
Key design features include three timber-clad deckhouses, owner’s and guest accommodation aft, with a central owner’s cockpit the focal point of the deck layout.
The yacht will be powered by a full hybrid propulsion and energy system.
The hull has been constructed from 120 tons of aluminium.
Delivery of Project 3095 is scheduled for summer 2026, with Van Ineveld & Co. overseeing the build on behalf of the owners.
