Sirena 42M makes its debut

Sirena Marine has presented the first model from its Sirena Superyachts division, the 42-metre Sirena 42M. The launch is the first in a planned range that will also include 35-metre and 50-metre models.

The four-deck yacht has exterior styling by Luca Vallebona, interiors by Hot Lab of the Viken Group and naval architecture by Van Oossanen. It was built at Sirena’s Yalova shipyard in Turkey with a steel fast-displacement hull and aluminium superstructure.

Chief executive Cagin Genc described the yacht as a major milestone for the shipyard, adding that its engineering, performance, design and construction had been developed for the superyacht market.

A two-level owner’s terrace is arranged at the bow. The lower patio opens directly from the full-beam owner’s cabin and includes freestanding seating, planting and a pergola.

A curved staircase connects it with an upper private seating area. Vallebona says the arrangement blurred the boundary between inside and outside when the cabin’s sliding doors were open.

Waterside space

At the stern, stepped access leads from the main deck to a beach club with a glass-backed pool, fold-down side platforms and a hydraulic swim platform. In beach mode, the area provides 71 square metres of waterside space.

The sun deck includes loungers, a bar, dining space and a flexible area that can be configured as a gym, cinema or hot tub.

Accommodation is for 11 guests in five cabins, including the owner’s suite, two VIP doubles and two convertible twins and up to nine crew can be carried.

Inspired by nature

Hot Lab used curved forms, walnut parquet, limestone, bouclé fabrics and concealed lighting across the interior. Senior designer Chiara Pastore said the scheme was mostly inspired by nature, with a natural colour palette and organic shapes.

Twin MAN V12-1450 engines produce a top speed of 16 knots during trials. At 10 knots, the yacht has a stated range of 4,600 nautical miles from 46,000 litres of fuel.

Two 80kW generators support the onboard systems, while an 83kW bow thruster assists manoeuvring.

The tender garage can carry a boat up to 5.65 metres and uses a pantograph-style door. Sirena says the equipment package was selected for long-range operation, onboard comfort and reliability.

The yacht received its world debut at Monaco Yacht Show.
