Itama 70 joins range renewal

Itama has introduced the 21.23-metre Itama 70, the second model in the brand’s range renewal programme. The open yacht has a 5.3-metre beam and twin MAN V12 engines.

Standard 1,400hp engines are expected to deliver a top speed of 37 knots and a cruising speed of 33 knots. Optional 1,550hp units raise the preliminary figures to 39 knots and 35 knots respectively.

The model was developed by Ferretti Group’s strategic product committee and engineering department. Vallicelli Design created the exterior, while IdeaeItalia designed the interior.

The hull profile aligns the gunwale with the sheer line, increasing deck space towards the bow.

Side windows extend along the hull, while the stern platform can accommodate a tender of up to 3.25 metres.

The cockpit includes a large aft sunpad, U-shaped dining seating and a wet bar with a sink and fridge.

Optional equipment

Optional equipment includes cooking appliances, additional refrigeration and a convertible chaise longue. An electric bimini can be specified with side panels and an aft extension.

The port-side helm seats three and has twin 12-inch SIMRAD touchscreen chartplotters as standard, with 16-inch displays optional.

The centrally accessed foredeck and forward sunpad support the yacht’s ‘open yacht concept’.

Below deck, the arrangement provides a galley, dinette, three en-suite cabins and a single-level floor.

The owner’s cabin is positioned aft, with a VIP cabin forward and a guest cabin to port. An optional crew cabin with a separate bathroom can replace storage space.

Technical equipment includes XENTA electro-hydraulic steering, trim tabs and bow thrusters. A manoeuvring joystick, stern thrusters and Seakeeper NG14 gyroscopic stabiliser are optional.

The interior uses leather and wood, with a choice of warm or blue colour schemes. Itama says the design retains the minimalist style associated with the Itama range while adding more space and updated onboard systems.
