Leading shipyards join Seaquip’s advisory board

Representatives from leading European shipyards have joined Seaquip’s new advisory board.

The new board brings together professionals from shipyards across both the sailing and motor yacht segments who will contribute to the development of the marine trade exhibition.

The board has been established with the aim of supporting the Seaquip team in defining the strategic direction and content of the next edition of the show which is scheduled for March 2027.

The focus of the new board will be on the evolution of marine components and the development of increasingly effective services for the industry, the key needs of the supply chain and the sector’s development trajectories.

The first meeting took place on 24 June at Milan’s Triennale Milano, moderated by journalist Fabio Petrone.

Future of the nautical industry

Several key priorities for the sector emerged, including digitalisation, innovation, investment sustainability, safety, vessel light-weighting and the development of smart yachting.

Attention was also given to regulatory developments and to cross-industry dialogue, drawing on expertise and models from other sectors that may provide valuable insights for the future of the nautical industry.

“I am very proud of the response from professionals across the nautical sector, confirming the growing interest Seaquip is generating,” commented Pier Paolo Ponchia, managing director of exhibition organiser Easyfairs Italy.

“The participation of leading shipyards, from both the sailing and motor segments, is an important recognition and reflects a clear willingness to actively contribute to the growth of the exhibition and the entire supply chain.”

Activities will continue through discussion sessions, both throughout 2027 and with a long-term perspective.

Seaquip is a Mediterranean yacht and marine equipment trade fair.

The next edition of Seaquip will take place from March 2 – 4 2027 at Fiera Milano Rho, Italy.
