American Honda has restructured its Power Sports & Products centre (PS&P), bringing its Marine Division back into the organisation.
Honda says the reorganisation continues the evolution of its PS&P towards a self-reliant North American operation.
Under the new organisation, each business division – powersports, power equipment and marine – will manage its own sales, service and marketing functions.
Sales operations will be also be supported across all three businesses.
PS&P was established in 2020, and originally included the sales operations and after sales experience divisions, which collectively supported Honda’s powersports, power equipment and marine businesses. Marine became a standalone division in 2024.
The new organisational structure is led by John Stevens who has been promoted to vice president of PS&P business and sales. Jeremy McGuire is the new director of sales operations.
Honda veteran
Stevens is a 25-year Honda veteran who has held a variety of roles across powersports, power equipment and marine, most recently serving as director of PS&P sales operations.
McGuire brings 27 years of company experience, including 23 years in R&D positions before becoming manager of PS&P customer engagement in 2022.
Each of the three PS&P divisions is now led by a dedicated director of sales, service and marketing, with Bill Savino leading powersports, Barry Dlugasz heading power equipment and Josh Matthews overseeing marine.
Savino most recently served as director of national sales for powersports and brings more than 32 years of powersports experience at American Honda.
Dlugasz previously served as director of the Power Equipment National Sales Division and brings more than 30 years of industry experience, including 20 years with Honda and 12 years in Honda dealerships.
Matthews most recently served as division director before assuming leadership of the Marine Division and has more than 13 years of Honda experience.
Operational alignment
As before, some functions for powersports, power equipment and marine are managed by separate divisions.
Jeremy Merzlak, a 25-year Honda veteran who most recently served as director of the aftersales experience division, has been appointed director of the Business Planning Division, where he will help drive coordination and operational alignment across PS&P.
To enhance product-line consistency and streamline development activities across the business, all PS&P R&D functions have been consolidated into a single Development Division led by Hideki Hayashi and 24-year American Honda veteran Camas Reed.
“Building on the momentum of a successful 2025-’26 fiscal year, this evolution of our Power Sports & Products centre will help us strengthen collaboration, accelerate innovation and respond quickly to customer needs,” said Stevens.
“By bringing Marine back into the PS&P structure and strengthening our sales and development capabilities, we’re setting the foundation for sustained growth in North America, while remaining focused on enriching people’s lives through fun and convenience.”
