Greenline Yachts unveils new 50ft hybrid model

Greenline Yachts has unveiled designs for a new hybrid 50ft model.

The Greenline 50 will replace the existing Greenline 48, which has been one of the yard’s top-sellers for more than a decade.

The new boat will serve a similar segment of the market, however, it will be larger and include many new features.

The first hull in the new model is already nearing the end of its build process, with launch at Greenline’s Portoroz, Slovenia, facilities scheduled for late summer.

“I am very proud to be so close to launching the new Greenline 50,” said Greenline Yachts owner Vladimir Zinchenko.

“It has always been part of our philosophy to build timeless boats on a robust, proven technical platform, so that each model has a long lifespan.

New model

“The launch of a new model is therefore a rare occurrence at Greenline Yachts, and the occasion of mixed emotions as we bid farewell to a familiar friend.”

He added: “We have done a fantastic job with the Greenline 50 and I am certain that she will still form a key part of our range in a decade’s time.”

Features of the Greenline 50 include tall bulwarks, a swept-back superstructure, bright spaces and flexible hybrid drives.

Like its predecessor, the new boat offers three cabins that can be arranged as twins or doubles and up to three bathrooms.

The main deck offers one-level living, with no steps between the cockpit and the saloon, while the aft deck offers more options than previous boats.

Owners will also have more choice over interior materials and finishes than previously.

Flybridge version

The first hull is being built to Greenline’s fly model. The new Greenline 50 will also be available in a flybridge version.

Power from the boat’s hybrid battery bank and solar panels can be combined with Greenline’s 6G hybrid drive or diesel engines.

“Greenline’s new models are proving to be a real success story,” said Alessandro Lorenzon, global business director and chief experience officer at Greenline Yachts.

“They have introduced a new awareness of the way spaces on board add value to the boating experience and spurred us to ever greater efforts in terms of interior finish.

“It was high time that our midrange boat received this treatment and so the Greenline 50 was born.”
