Crewsaver’s new ErgoFit 290N lifejacket was launched at METSTRADE 2024.
The ErgoFit 290N is purpose-built for high performance and reliability, designed to be low-profile and functional.
The design includes a slightly longer cover that reduces bulk, and provides a comfortable, flexible fit across a wide range of body types.
The wide-neck design accommodates high-collared hooded jackets and a low-profile, load-bearing front buckle ensures reliable harness use and features a quick-release mechanism.
The lifejacket features Crewsaver’s first halo hood system, which, alongside the shape of the inflated bladder, reduces the risk of water inhalation and heat loss.
“With the ErgoFit 290N, our goal was to set a new benchmark for lifejackets designed for open water,” said Christopher Cox, general manager, Crewsaver.
“By integrating advanced airway protection, exceptional comfort, and ease of use, this lifejacket reflects our commitment to elevating safety standards, providing wearers with dependable performance they can trust in the most challenging conditions.”
The double halo construction is engineered to provide enhanced airway protection by creating a self-supporting spray hood that forms a spacious cavity above the wearer’s face.
The internal panel serves as an anti-glare shield to guard the wearer’s eyes from the lifejacket light.
The ErgoFit 290N is fitted with Crewsaver’s patented EXOLOK cylinder retention system for added protection.
EXOLOK holds a lifejacket cylinder in position and indicates if it moves, becomes unscrewed, or is tampered with.
