A £12 million plan to redevelop an Irish hotel and marina has been granted planning approval.
The redevelopment of the Carrybridge Lakeside Lodge and Marina located within the Co. Fermanagh Lakelands on Upper Lough Erne has been proposed in a joint venture between businessman Ronnie Crawford and the Cassidy Hospitality Group, which runs an existing 12-bed riverside establishment on the site.
The new project will see the existing lodge on the River Erne cleared to make way for the new build hotel with a new bar, restaurant and function suite.
Existing launching pontoon and berthing jetties will also be replaced under the plans.
Permission has officially been granted by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council with the project’s backers saying it will fulfil a need for high quality hospitality and tourism accommodation in the area, potentially supporting around 100 jobs.
