Vision Marine Technologies has appointed Mike Nance as regional sales manager at its Florida-based subsidiary, Nautical Ventures.
Nance has more than 25 years’ experience in marine retail, dealership operations, sales management, service co-ordination and customer relations.
His remit will cover sales execution, manufacturer relationships and commercial operations across Nautical Ventures’ Florida retail and service network.
One of his first assignments will be leading the company’s sales team at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which runs from 28 October to 1 November 2026.
Responsibilities
Nance most recently served as south regional manager for Marine Connection Boat Sales, overseeing locations from Fort Lauderdale through Miami and the Florida Keys.
His responsibilities included dealership operations, staffing, profitability, customer relations, sales and service co-ordination, and aftersales support.
Earlier positions included leadership roles with Sundance Marine/OneWater Marine, Xtreme Powerboats and MarineMax.
His appointment follows operational changes introduced by Vision Marine since acquiring Nautical Ventures. These include inventory optimisation, integration of business processes, expansion of manufacturer relationships and activation of an inventory financing facility with Northpoint Commercial Finance.
Commercial development
“We have spent the past year strengthening the foundation of Nautical Ventures, from operational efficiency and inventory management to financing infrastructure and manufacturer relationships,” said Alexandre Mongeon, chief executive of Vision Marine.
He added that Nance’s knowledge of the Florida market and dealership operations would support the next stage of the company’s commercial development.
“My immediate focus is the team, our customers, our manufacturers and execution,” added Nance.
“FLIBS gives us an excellent opportunity to bring those pieces together, generate sales opportunities and demonstrate to the industry what Nautical Ventures can deliver in the Florida market.”
Nautical Ventures operates recreational marine retail, distribution, service and marina activities in Florida.
