Dutch boat trailer manufacturer Vanclaes Boat Trailers has incorporated Vanclaes Boat Trailers UK Ltd and acquired a factory in Poole to support its UK operations.
The new UK company will handle domestic orders for Vanclaes’ stainless-steel boat trailers and provide a base for stock, parts, distribution and warranty support.
Vanclaes says the move is intended to reduce the impact of cross-border logistics on deliveries and provide UK customers and dealers with faster access to trailers and replacement parts.
The Poole operation is the company’s first overseas subsidiary and follows earlier work to develop trailer hubs within Europe.
The UK business will be run by a dedicated team covering sales, operations, manufacturing and support.
