The new Paris boat show – Nautic en Seine – is to be postponed until Spring 2025.
The decision was taken at a board meeting with organisers stating the autumn boat show calendar is too crowded for another show.
“We observed with all the professionals representing the different components of our industry that the calendar, both national and international, of the 2024 fall boat shows was too crowded,” said Jean-Paul Chapeleau, President of organising body, Fédération des Industries (FIN).
“This situation did not allow us to calmly consider setting up an event of the magnitude of Nautic en Seine without damaging other events in the nautical industry.
“In this context, the major French projects are committed to ensuring qualitative representation in Spring 2025. This is why we made the decision to modify our approach.”
The new show was initially announced in December 2023 and was due to have taken place over six days in October 2024.
The site was able to accommodate up to 150 boats on the water with around 30 of these available for testing.
The show was billed as having a new format and a new dynamic and organisers were collecting first intentions of participation from exhibitors. The new dates have yet to be announced with FIN stating they will be made public in the coming days following discussions with the Hauts de Seine departmental council, the city of Boulogne and other event partners.
