New board member for Savvy Navvy

Marine technology company Savvy Navvy has appointed data and tech professional Keith Binley to join its board as a non-executive director.

Keith, based in the UK, has more than two decades of experience in the data and technology sectors and has been part of Savvy Navvy’s journey from the outset as an investor.

“With a track record of leading high-growth tech start-ups, we are super excited for Keith to join our board,” said Jelte Liebrand, Savvy Navvy CEO and founder. “He has from early on seen Savvy Navvy’s potential, joining as one of our first investors.

“As we continue our ambitious growth plans, Keith’s experience is perfectly placed in our Board to help us continue to scale.”

Keith, an avid boater and yacht master, runs JDV Coaching Ltd, which among other areas, uses AI and implements appropriate enterprise governance for small, fast-paced, growing businesses.

I’m thrilled to be part of their next phase of growth.

“Having seen first-hand the innovation and dedication driving Savvy Navvy forward, I’m thrilled to be appointed their non-executive director,” he said.

“This year already, Savvy Navvy has set up a global distributor network further increasing app sales, as we continue to challenge the bigger navigation solutions in the global market.

“I’m thrilled to be part of their next phase of growth.”

Savvy Navvy provides navigation solutions for boaters, kayakers, paddleboarders and jet-skiers via its app.

The app provides smart routing giving users the optimal route and dynamic ETAs based on real-time data: departure time, chart information, weather conditions, tide, boat specifications and local regulations.

Points of interest, including marina information, marine services and local businesses are also shown in the app.

Keith is replacing Thomas Cape on Savvy Navvy’s board, who stepped down as a NED earlier in October to pursue other career opportunities.
