Scandinavian Marine has been appointed distributor for Flexofold sailing yacht propellers in Australia and New Zealand.
The agreement gives Scandinavian Marine responsibility for sales support, technical advice and after-sales service across the full Flexofold range, including folding propellers, saildrive versions and spare parts.
Flexofold is headquartered in Denmark and manufactures folding and feathering propellers for sailing yachts. Its product range includes two- and three-blade folding propellers, saildrive versions compatible with systems including Volvo Penta and Yanmar, and service kits.
The propellers are designed to fold against the shaft when sailing to reduce drag, and to deploy when motoring to provide thrust with reduced vibration and noise. They are available across a range of shaft diameters and pitch options for sailing yacht applications in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
