Parker Adams acquires FlexiSail

Marine brokerage Parker Adams has acquired south coast boat-share membership company FlexiSail Boat Club from Walker Maritime Holdings.

The business will continue to be based at Hamble Point Marina but has moved into the current Parker Adams head office nearby.

Under the new ownership, FlexiSail will continue operating under its established brand, with plans to increase member benefits and access to an expanded fleet of cruising yachts, cabin cruisers and RIBs that will be based at Hamble Point Marina and Lymington.

Andrew Adams and Jonathan Parker established Parker Adams Boat Sales in 2019 and during this time the business has become one of the fastest-growing boat brokerages in the country.

“We’re excited to welcome FlexiSail into the Parker Adams family. Our mission has always been to expand the boating community and make boating more accessible and enjoyable for everyone, whether they’re new to sailing or seasoned sailors,” they said.

“By combining FlexiSail’s innovative boating membership model with our expertise in sales and service, we can offer boating enthusiasts the luxury of life on the water whatever their lifestyle – whether through the freedom of flexible access or the pride of full ownership.”

The brand also has a marine superstore and a charter business.

FlexiSail was established nearly 20 years’ ago and works on an ‘ownership without buying’ model, enabling members to enjoy sailing yachts and motorboats without the need to purchase a boat or carry out maintenance.

Walker Maritime Holdings owned Walker Marine Design, FlexiSail, FlexiCrew and FlexiCharter.
