The new Patrone 45’ Convertible from Patrone Moreno made its world debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, becoming the new flagship of the Ligurian shipyard and the latest stage in its contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional gozzo.
The 14-metre model follows the Patrone 100, introduced in 2022, and the Patrone 45’ Open, launched in 2024. The 14 metre yacht, designed by Tommaso Spadolini, has been developed to offer more protected cruising, adaptable onboard spaces and greater comfort while retaining the Mediterranean identity of the brand.
The first hull has been finished in MOSTO red, a colour inspired by grape harvests and Ligurian vineyards overlooking the sea. Benedetta Moreno, brand manager at Patrone, said the colour was developed from an owner request and reflected both the shipyard’s commitment to customisation and its connection with its home territory.
“With the Patrone 45’ Convertible, we wanted to create a boat designed to be fully enjoyed, capable of combining comfort and protection with the charm, simplicity and identity of the Patrone gozzo,” said Gianarnaldo Moreno, general manager of Patrone who, together with Benedetta, is the fourth generation at the shipyard.
Open centre for movement and fishing
The dinette can be used for dining, aperitifs or as an additional sleeping area, while the cockpit is offered with either a central sofa that converts into a second sunpad or perimeter seating that leaves the centre open for movement and fishing. Eco-teak decking is standard, with natural teak available on request.
The model is the first Patrone to use a 220V Quick Gyro X13 gyroscopic stabiliser. Propulsion is by Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines with joystick control, supported by a digital anchor system, autopilot and Garmin instrumentation with dual screens.
Interiors by Tommaso Spadolini use pickled and whitewashed oak, Rubelli fabrics and customised finishes. The layout provides four plus two berths, with two cabins and a convertible dinette, while a galley below deck frees the main deck for social space. Large windows and the brand’s signature glazing maintain a visual connection with the sea.
The yacht has been specified for longer cruising, with a watermaker, two 12,000 BTU Frigomar air-conditioning systems, a 14kW Paguro generator and a concealed Besenzoni electro-hydraulic gangway.
