Marea Marseille – Le Grand Salon de la Mer will hold its first edition from 6 to 11 April 2027 in Marseille.
The event will be dedicated to boating, water-based activities and experiences centred around the sea, with organisers targeting more than 45,000 visitors, 200 brands, 300 boats and more than 30,000sqms of exhibition space for the inaugural show.
Boats will be displayed both ashore and afloat, with sea trials also planned.
The show will be structured around four areas: Yachting & Boating, covering boats, equipment and trials; Water-based activities, including scuba diving, fishing, board sports and other watersports; Sea destinations, showcasing Mediterranean and international locations; and Experiences, with activities, introductory sessions, conferences and discussions on current sea-related issues.
Organisers – the French regional daily newspaper La Provence and CMA Media – want to building on its five years of experience organising Les Nauticales in La Ciotat, using that background to develop a larger Marseille-based format.
“It is only natural that Marseille should host a major event dedicated to the sea and boating,” said Olivier Biscaye, managing director and editor-in-chief of La Provence, who added that the city’s history, location and dynamism made it suited to an event of this scale.
