Harman International has completed the acquisition of Sound United, the former consumer audio business of Masimo Corporation.
Sound United’s portfolio of audio brands includes Bowers & Wilkins, Denon, Marantz, Definitive Technology, Polk Audio, HEOS, Classé, and Boston Acoustics.
The acquisition marks a significant expansion in Harman’s core audio business and footprint across key product categories including home audio, electronics such as amplifiers, hi-fi components and AVRs, headphones, and car audio.

Sound United will operate as a standalone strategic business unit within Harman’s Lifestyle Division.
The acquisition is intended to accelerate Harman’s advancements in audio technology, broaden market presence, and reinforce its global position.
Harman is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co, focused on connected technologies and solutions.
