Gottifredi Maffioli and Kingfisher Yacht Ropes have expanded their partnership in the United States, giving Kingfisher responsibility for supplying the Italian manufacturer’s full range of performance sailing ropes.
The arrangement will serve yacht riggers, sailmakers, boatbuilders, retailers and sailing professionals across the States. It builds on a relationship between the two family-owned businesses that began more than 25 years’ ago.
Gottifredi Maffioli’s Rossella Maffioli said the revised structure would make the range more accessible to US customers while maintaining existing relationships.
“Having worked successfully with the Kingfisher Yacht Ropes team in the UK for more than 25 years, we believe this new approach will make the Gottifredi Maffioli range even more accessible to the sailing community in the United States,” she said.
Kingfisher said it is increasing stock holdings to support expected demand and improve order fulfilment.
Nigel Saddington, partner at Kingfisher Yacht Ropes, said the US had become an increasingly important export market.
“Our strengthened partnership with Gottifredi Maffioli will provide greater clarity within the market and enable us to deliver an even more streamlined service to both existing and new customers,” he said.
