HikoTerra expands global distribution network

New Zealand power systems company HikoTerra has appointed distributors in Australia, the Benelux region, Brazil, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany and Taiwan for its H⁴ Hybrid Power System.

The appointments provide regional sales and technical contacts for boatbuilders, installers and owners as the company develops international coverage for its modular onboard power platform.

Allpa marine equipment will cover Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, while allpa GmbH – Technik fürs Boot will distribute the system in Germany. DragonShore will represent HikoTerra in Taiwan and Electra Service will handle Brazil from its base in Guarujá.

Meridian Projekt has been appointed for Croatia and Slovenia. The Zagreb-based company has supplied marine electronics since 2003. Sure Power Industries will distribute HikoTerra products in Australia.

Three technical partners

“These distributors understand the builders, installers and boaters in their markets,” said Mark Harnett, chief executive of HikoTerra.

“Their experience with marine equipment and onboard electrical systems will help us introduce H⁴ to customers who need a battery-first power system that fits the way they use their boats and vehicles.”

HikoTerra has also appointed three technical partners to provide additional sales and service support. Adventure Systems & Support will cover the US Midwest and Central region, with a focus on specialty and expedition vehicles. Pelagic Power will serve the US West Coast, while Plymouth Marine Electronics will support customers in the UK.

Introduced in 2025, the H⁴ system combines 10kW bidirectional inverters, 8kWh lithium iron phosphate battery modules, 200A chargers and a configurable mounting rack. An integrated backplane reduces the requirement for external heavy-gauge DC cabling and fuses.

Depending on configuration, the system supports up to 30kW of inverter capacity and 96kWh of battery storage. Charging sources can include shore power, engine alternators and solar input.
