August Race is expanding into the African market with the appointment of NovaMarine as distributor for its range of boat care products throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
NovaMarine is owned by ships agency Sturrock Grindrod Maritime and offers a wide range of products and services including safety equipment, lifeboats, life rafts, chandlery and fire services.
“We’re excited to be working with Nova Marine as we expand into the African market, they are a very well regarded company who share our core values of providing good service and quality products,” said Peter Wallbank, technical director at August Race.
“NovaMarine have recently acquired distributorships for a number of premium marine brands in SSA and August Race are pleased to be among those.”
Susan Meldrum, divisional manager NovaMarine, added: “We are excited to be bringing the August Race product range to South Africa and Namibia.
“We provide products and services to a wide and varied range of marine businesses both on and offshore and we see August Race as being a great addition to the NovaMarine offer.”
NovaMarine was founded in 1965 and was part of the Pescanova Group until 2018 when it was purchased by ships agency and provider of logistics and maritime technical and engineering services Sturrock Grindrod Maritime.
The company is headed by divisional manager Susan Meldrum and will officially launch the Premium Boat Care Range in May.
