New HQ for Robosys Automation

Maritime autonomy software developer, Robosys Automation, has officially opened its new UK HQ in Southampton, to support the company’s global expansion.

The new headquarters features workshops and administration offices and will accommodate Robosys’ growing team consisting of software developers, technologists, vessel integrators, and administration staff.

“Today is a landmark day for Robosys Automation, seeing the culmination of contract wins, an expanding product portfolio, a loyal customer-base, and a superb team,” said Robosys’ CEO and founder, Aditya Nawab.

Robosys Automation’s software, Voyager AI, is used by unmanned surface vessels (USVs), workboats, ships as well as and subsea craft for operations including surveying, monitoring, and hydrographic.

The system enables vessels to operate uncrewed, or as lean crewed, designed to increase safety and lower operating overheads.

Autonomous trials boat

The system enables a vessel to become fully autonomous and can be fitted to new-build vessels or retrofitted.

Robosys has also recently launched a new autonomous trials boat in the US, which is currently being used for testing and customer trials.

The vessel has full autonomous control capabilities via Robosys’ UK, US, Canadian or Indian remote operations centres.

The opening of Robosys new HQ follows on from the software developer securing grant funding through Innovate UK for a specialist project exploring Collaborative Autonomy in USVs and ROVs across Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) operations, the CASI Project.

The company is leading a project to address a growing market need for improving operation and maintenance and inspections of offshore assets with smarter, zero-emission, collaborative USV-ROV technologies.

The project’s findings are set to be reported in the Spring of 2025.
