Columbus Yachts self-finances new superyacht build

Columbus Yachts has begun the self-financed construction of a new Columbus Atlantique 37 vessel at its Savona shipyard.

The new superyacht, built of aluminium, is scheduled for delivery in 2027. The yacht will join the first Columbus Atlantique 37m unit and the Columbus Crossover 42m, already in production at Palumbo Superyachts Savona.

The external lines and the interior design are by Hot Lab, while the naval engineering is by Columbus Yachts.

The design is a combination of stylistic, planning and functional elements, interaction of the on-board spaces with the marine environment.

The hull silhouette is reminiscent of old-time sailing yachts and the stern area, with its panoramic pool, is just 50cm above sea level.

Columbus Atlantique 37 is 299 GT with a layout that includes four double cabins with a private bathroom located below deck.

There is a master cabin at the bow of the main deck with a fixed terrace, double-sink bathroom, large central shower, and walk-in closet.

There are two dining areas, one outdoor on the main deck and the second on the upper deck seating up to ten people.

A key feature of the second dining area is the large, rounded windows, with up/down and sliding movement to encourage contact with the sea as much as possible.

The garage is placed on the starboard side and houses both a 5.03-metre tender and a rescue boat.

Columbus Atlantique 37 has a semi-planning hull and is powered by two MAN 2000hp engines. The yacht can reach a maximum speed of 22 knots and cruise at 19 knots.

This is the fifth Atlantique unit from Columbus Yachts.
