Azimut inaugurates new headquarters

The new Azimut Yachts headquarters has been inaugurated by Giovanna Vitelli, chair of Azimut|Benetti Group and Marco Valle, CEO, in front of employees and dignitaries.

The project is part of a €50 million investment plan for the production site, overseen by the architectural practice of AMDL CIRCLE and Michele De Lucchi, who also curated the restyling of the main building and the construction of the new multifunctional pavilion.

Work on the new facility included completely renovating the employees’ offices based on an architectural design by Settanta7. The plan also included a significant energy efficiency upgrade.

Other key features include a new Virtual Reality room, where the technical and style offices collaborate, and which also welcomes guests, particularly owners to choose layouts, furnishings, colours, and fabrics using immersive virtual reality.

In addition, AMDL CIRCLE has introduced a new entrance pavilion.

Azimut has a history spanning more than 50 years, and the best way to honor it is to continue evolving.

“I had the image of the Louvre pyramid in mind,” explained Giovanna Vitelli.

“A statement of changing times, but above all a sign of how the new finds its full power in its relationship with the grandeur of the past.

Azimut has a history spanning more than 50 years, and the best way to honor it is to continue evolving, as my father always did.”

The new headquarters incorporate elements of Azimut’s history and ‘firsts’ paying tribute to the key stylistic and technological innovations of the company’s yachts. These include floor-to-ceiling glazing to provide natural light, as seen in the meeting rooms, and a key concept throughout the project.

Shared environments

The layout and design of the new offices are based on transparency, collaboration, flexibility, and innovation, with glass replacing walls, and shared environments replace closed and oversized executive offices.

The project marks an evolution of Azimut’s work model, prioritising collaboration and teamwork and moving beyond traditional hierarchcal structures.

The initiative comes as Azimut transitions to a new generation with a a new leadership model that focuses on the future.

The renovated headquarters will open its doors to Azimut employees from September.
