Marine Structures appointed by Ekkopol

Australia’s Marine Structures has been appointed as the exclusive Australia Pacific partner for Ekkopol’s DPOL (Durable Protection of Ocean Life) technology.

The DPOL marina robot has been engineered to keep marinas clean by continuously attracting and collecting both solid and liquid waste, including hydrocarbons, using a strong surface current.

Waste is drawn into a durable net, enabling around-the-clock operation without the need for electronics, supervision, or complex installation.

The system is mobile and suitable for marinas and ports of all sizes.

“DPOL is a simple yet powerful innovation that addresses one of the most pressing environmental challenges facing our waterways,” said Marine Structures director John Hogan.

We’re excited to bring this technology to Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific.

Long term Marine Structures customer, Sanctuary Cove Marina, is the first in Australia to install the DPOL system, which John says marks the beginning of a new standard in environmental care for world-class marina destinations in the region.

The marina has a level 3 Clean Marina accreditation and commitment to sustainability.

The system is available in a variety of size options with additional new features to enhance performance planned.

The system is manufactured by the company in the Var region of France.
