Receivers to sell Sydney marina project

A marina development project in northern Sydney, Australia, has been put on the market after the developer is understood to have gone bust.

The 8,212 sqm site at 35-39 Brookyln Rd, that has received planning approval for a marina development, is alleged to have hit the market under distressed circumstances.

The north-facing property, has approval foe 13 luxury residential lots, each with its own private deepwater mooring, together with a 13-berth marina on the Hawkesbury River.

It is being sold by Colliers agents Matthew Meynell, Tom Appleby and Hugh Gittoes on behalf of BPS Resolved, the appointed receiver and manager.

The agents are anticipating the site to be popular with bidders due to a scarcity of private, direct-access marina berths. Expressions of interest close on June 12.

The area is also said to be of interest as it is positioned amid national parklands with river views.
