Lakeland Leisure Estates has announced a major expansion of Roydon Marina Village moorings and services.
Work to the marina, located on the River Stort in the Epping Forest District, is scheduled for completion in March 2024, with phase one being new moorings and facilities.
The new moorings will be for widebeam and narrowboats and will feature composite anti-slip walkways for safety and ease of access and smart card electric bollards for convenient power supply.
In addition there will be a new facility building for essential amenities such as bathrooms, laundry facilities and Elsan services.
There will also be new electric vehicle chargers installed on site, as well as new recycling bins and the access road leading to the marina will be improved and resurfaced.
The second phase of development will be a new slipway and boatyard providing boaters with an equipped area for boat maintenance and repair.
