French engine and parts distributor, Le Pocher Moteurs & Solutions, has begun work on its new expansion, an investment of more than €2 million.
The family-run business which specialises in marine engines, says it is expanding into a new 1650msq facility due to demand.
The company was founded in 1945 by Gilbert Le Pocher to meet the needs of fishing and recreational boating.
It is now headed by his grandson and general manager Nicolas Le Pocher who took over in 2006 and has diversified into new markets in the merchant navy, the military sector and industry.
In addition to entering new markets, Le Pocher Moteurs & Solutions has also expanded its product range and developed new services for professionals and individuals.
The company currently had a turnover approaching €7 million in 2024 and a multidisciplinary team of 15 employees.

“The other segments are not left behind since the Swedish brand Humphree, marketing boat stabilization systems, has entrusted us with the import for the entire western part of France.”
He added: “We work with local players such as Piriou, the Gléhen shipyards, JFA Yachts and the Rehlko factory.
“Our customers are loyal to us. They appreciate our availability, our responsiveness, the quality of our services and our local roots.

The new building, built by Soft Groupe, is located close to the current premises, in the town of Mellac, and is due to be completed by the end of 2025.
The building will include modernised work spaces, a redesigned showroom, a reception area and a technical workshop adapted to different types of work.
“This new construction will contribute to our growth and strengthen our ability to respond to new regulations and develop innovations from our suppliers,” concluded Nicolas.
Le Pocher Moteurs & Solutions is the exclusive distributor of Volvo Penta for the Grand Ouest, and also works with brands such as Humphree, ZF and Rehlko.
