Ribcraft RHIBS are to be manufactured in Australia, following a partnership agreement between Ribcraft Australia and Edencraft.
The partnership is said to be a major step in Ribcraft’s global expansion plans, bringing Australian-made vessels to defence, government, and commercial sectors in the region.
The companies say key benefits of the partnership include local manufacturing under the Australian Made programme and compliance with Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) NSCV standards.
The Edencraft facility in Geelong, Victoria, will serve as the hub for producing custom-built Ribcraft RHIBs that meet AMSA NSCV standards.
The local manufacturing capability is aimed at strengthening Ribcraft’s presence in the Australian market and also to support exports to the broader Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
The partnership is also aimed at providing an enhanced maritime supply chain.

Edencraft, which has nearly 40 years’ experience, has invested in the latest technology, including a high-tech robotic 5-axis automated machining centre specialising in plug and mould making.

Ribcraft has manufacturing facilities in the UK, India, Middle East, USA, and now Australia.
The company manufactures custom vessels to military forces, coast guards, commercial organisations, and SAR teams worldwide.
The company’s RHIB features include a deep V-hull and custom inflatable collars for enhanced stability and additional impact protection.
