Highfield launches professional RIB division

Highfield Boats has created Highfield PRT, a dedicated division for patrol, rescue, tactical and commercial users.

The new operation extends the aluminium RIB manufacturer’s activities beyond recreational boating into projects for law enforcement, search and rescue, military, patrol and commercial operators.

The division will focus on applications requiring customised layouts, operational reliability and support throughout a vessel’s service life.

Highfield founder Julien Carussi has been appointed chief executive of Highfield PRT. Stefanie Sun moves from supply chain director at Highfield Boats to become the division’s director of operations.

“Highfield has been quietly delivering boats for professional users for several years now, from rescue services to patrol and workboat operators,” explained Carussi.

“Those projects have grown steadily in number and in scope, and it has become clear there is a real gap in the market for robust, well-built aluminium RIBs at the right value.

“With Highfield PRT, we are structuring ourselves to fill that gap and to become a major player in the professional segment.”

Three ranges

The initial portfolio comprises three ranges. VIPER covers rapid-deployment inflatables from 3.8m to 5.8m for military, paramilitary and emergency applications.

The lightweight boats are designed for field inflation, transport by vehicle or aircraft, shallow-water access and adaptable equipment configurations.

RAPTOR consists of heavy-duty RIBs from 6.6m to 8.7m for patrol, rescue, boarding, inspection, fishery control and ship-borne support. Models in the range are the RPT660, RPT760 and RPT860.

SENTINEL covers air or foam-filled D-tube RIBs from 6m to 11m. The five-model range is intended for intervention, diver support, troop transport, command support, offshore patrol and coastguard work.

“At PRT, we don’t just deliver a boat – we deliver an integrated marine solution that helps professional operators successfully complete their missions at sea,” added Sun.

“Every boat is backed by our support throughout its service life, from product selection and customisation to technical support, training, spare parts and after-sales service.

“Our goal is simple: to deliver reliable, mission-ready solutions that keep professional operators performing when it matters most.”
