Tiwal will present its new inflatable sailboat dinghy, the Tiwal 2XL, at Boot Düsseldorf in January 2025.
The sailing dinghy measures 3.8m in length and weighs 52kg and has been designed for families (two adults and two children).
It fits into two bags and takes 25 minutes to assemble.
The dinghy is equipped with an 8.2msq reefable mainsail and a 1.8msq jib, has inflatable wings and wide deck for stability.
The Tiwal 2XL is the largest boat in the range and is based on previous Tiwal models.
“This model meets a recurring demand from customers looking for a boat for the whole family, yet that is still compact and easy to carry anywhere,” explains Emmanuel Bertrand, president and co-founder of Tiwal.
“Children and adults alike can take part in sailing and enjoy sharing some good times out on the water.”
The Tiwal 2XL has an inflatable hull made from high-pressure double-wall fabric and a V-shaped hull, an aluminium structure, carbon mast and a loose-footed sail.
“We opted for an unstayed rig. Every detail has been thought out to maximise sailing pleasure, while guaranteeing simplicity of use and a refined design,” said Marion Excoffon, designer and co-founder.
“The result is a real boat that’s responsive and fun, where every member of the crew can find their place and will get the most out of the sailing experience.”
The first models are due to be delivered in June 2025.
Tiwal has sold 3,000 boats which are sailing in 55 countries around the world – the company sells 80% of its boats for export.
