Ghinis Boats is set to expand in the US and European markets with the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to support its overseas operations and scale up production to meet growing demand.
The campaign has so far raised more than $50,000 from 30 investors. The funds will be used to finalise the assembly of the first boat and accelerate the company’s international expansion.
Netherlands based Ghinis Boats was founded by Brazilian entrepreneur Jorge Ghinis with the aim of offering a fresh perspective in the leisure boat industry.
The company recently completed the hull of its first 33ft model and is now entering the final assembly phase of the aluminium craft.
“Ghinis Boats, an emerging force in the nautical sector, is making waves in the European and global markets with its innovative approach and unique value proposition,” said Jorge.
“The use of aluminium in Ghinis Boats allows for extensive customisation, giving clients the ability to tailor their boats to meet specific needs and preferences.
“This material not only enhances durability but also offers a level of design flexibility that sets Ghinis apart in the market.”
He added: “This boat exemplifies Ghinis Boats’ dedication to delivering cutting-edge technology and fully customisable designs.”
Alongside the durability aspect of aluminium, Jorge points out that the material also reduces weight, and offers improved boat performance, while the use of recyclable materials and eco-friendly technologies minimises the boat’s environmental impact.
And it’s not just the boat design that Ghinis Boats is developing.
Together with the innovations in flexible and customisable boat design, the team at Ghinis Boats has also developed a patented articulated motor support system.
This relocates the outboard engines to the sides when the boat is stationary, freeing up critical space on the aft deck.
Unique feature
“This unique feature, unprecedented in the mid-sized yacht segment, creates more room for leisure activities such as hosting parties, barbecues, and even accommodating a jet ski on board — something no other boat in this class offers,” explained Jorge.
At the start of the year, Ghinis Boats announced a partnership with Formula 1 driver Emerson Fittipaldi to build a new line of boats in his name.
The Emerson Fittipaldi boats will use the articulated motor support system.
“This collaboration reflects Ghinis Boats’ commitment to excellence, performance, and pushing the boundaries of design and functionality,” said Jorge.
“Fittipaldi’s involvement brings a significant boost to Ghinis’ brand, adding an element of speed, precision, and high-performance ideals to their nautical offerings.”
