Group Beneteau has confirmed its 2026 growth outlook after reporting nine-month revenue of €595.8 million, up 3.7%, despite a sharp decline in third-quarter sales.
The boatbuilder said order intake had improved since September, supported by the response to 18 new models presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
The recovery followed several months of cautious ordering linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
“Despite the contraction in third-quarter sales, this turnaround supports our objective to achieve growth over the full year and confirms the relevance of the strategy rolled out”, said Bruno Thivoyon, Group Beneteau chief executive.
Falling revenue
Third-quarter revenue fell 14.1% to €146.6 million, compared with €170.6 million a year earlier.
Revenue from discontinued American activities weighed on sales growth by around 2% in both the quarter and the first nine months.
Sailing revenue increased 7.3% to €243.2 million over the nine-month period. Strong monohull sales, supported by models launched in 2025, offset weaker multihull demand. Third-quarter sailing revenue declined 1.9% to €54.3 million.
Motor revenue fell 0.9% to €323.6 million over nine months. Excluding discontinued American activities, motorboat sales increased 2.9%. Third-quarter motor revenue dropped 22.6%.
The group reported continued growth in dayboating, while cautious dealership ordering affected motor yachting sales. Retail sales in motor yachting remained stable.
Europe generated €362.2 million in nine-month revenue, up 9%, while North and Central America rose 10.5% to €173.7 million.
Challenging environment
The latter included nearly €20 million of deliveries deferred from late 2025, partly offset by an €11 million decline in discontinued activities.
“In a still very challenging economic environment, the Group continues to outperform its main markets, thanks to its strategy to go on the offensive with the accelerated launch of new models,” said Thivoyon.
Beneteau expects full-year sales growth of 4% to 9%, excluding discontinued American activities, with total consolidated revenue of €860 million to €900 million.
It also maintained its target for positive income from ordinary operations, excluding those activities, whose annual operating losses are expected to be limited to €9 million.
Models supporting the order recovery include the Lagoon 47, Oceanis 42, Swift Trawler 43 and Jeanneau EX 34 with Beneteau stating that the order book for deliveries during 2026 exceeds sales recorded in 2025 and includes large units scheduled for the fourth quarter.
