Whisper Marine has acquired wake and surf boat brand Heyday Boats from Brunswick Corporation, marking its third acquisition in less than a year.
The deal follows the purchase of Qwest Pontoons in December 2025 and Crownline Boats in June 2026. It adds wake and surf boats to a portfolio that includes Crownline, Navion and Whisper Pontoons.
Heyday boats will be manufactured at Crownline’s facility in West Frankfort, Illinois. According to Whisper Marine, Crownline has delivered more than 90,000 boats and water-tests every boat on Lake Crownline.
The company said maintaining continuity for existing dealers and customers would be a priority during the ownership transition. It plans to work with Heyday’s current dealers while offering the range to retailers already carrying its other brands.
Dealer network
“Heyday has done something a lot of brands haven’t: it has made the sport reachable for families who never thought a surf boat was in the cards,” said Paul Hoilman, chief operating officer of Whisper USA.
“That is exactly the kind of brand we want to build on, and it fits naturally alongside Crownline, Navion and Whisper Pontoons.”
He also outlined plans to support the dealer network: “To Heyday dealers, our message is simple: we’re committed to this brand, we’re going to invest in it, and we want to grow with you.”
Vittorio Bichucher, president of Brunswick Corporation’s Venture Boat Group, added: “Heyday has built a loyal following among dealers and customers, and we are proud of the team that helped establish the brand.”
The acquisition forms part of Whisper Marine’s multi-year strategy to assemble US-made boat brands serving different recreational boating segments.
Whisper Marine is the marine division of Whisper USA, headquartered in Johnson City, Tennessee, which manufactures outdoor leisure products at facilities in Tennessee, Michigan and Illinois.
