Maxwell Marine has appointed Daniele Toretta as superyacht sales manager, with responsibility for developing its Italian business across new-build and refit projects.
The anchoring and mooring equipment supplier said Toretta will work with original equipment manufacturers, shipyards, naval architects and designers, supporting projects from early design through to final installation.
His remit includes maintaining existing customer relationships, identifying commercial opportunities and expanding refit activity.
Toretta moves into the position after four years as sales manager for Northern Italy at Vetus. He has worked in the marine industry since 2007, with experience in propulsion and hydrodynamics.
Technical support
His product responsibilities cover windlasses, capstans and mooring winches. The appointment focuses on Italy, which the company identifies as a key market for superyacht construction, and on technical support for customers specifying anchoring and mooring equipment.
“My approach is to build long-term relationships, understand each customer’s needs and work closely with shipyards, designers and technical teams to find the most suitable solutions,” said Toretta.
Davide Baldereschi, general manager of Vetus Maxwell Italia, added: “Daniele has already made a positive impression at Vetus, and we are looking forward to seeing the continued growth in such a key market, especially within more complex projects where technical support, reliability and tailored solutions are essential.”
