Wynn Resorts plans 98-berth UAE marina

Wynn Resorts has revealed plans for a 98-berth superyacht marina at its US$5.7 billion Wynn Al Marjan Island resort in Ras Al Khaimah.

Wynn Marina will accommodate yachts up to 85 metres and provide direct access to the resort’s accommodation, restaurants, entertainment, wellness and retail facilities.

The company says it will offer more berths for larger vessels than any other hotel-attached marina in the UAE.

Fort Lauderdale-based IGY Marinas will oversee the facility. Its central Capitainerie will combine operations, concierge support, guest services and services for captains. Visiting guests will be able to check in onboard before entering the wider resort.

The marina will use a circular harbour layout visible from nearby rooms, terraces, restaurants and promenades. Dining and public waterfront areas are also planned around the harbour.

Wider development

“Wynn Marina has been conceived as a direct extension of Wynn Al Marjan Island,” said Max Tappeiner, president of Wynn Al Marjan Island.

“Guests will move effortlessly between life on the water and experiences throughout the resort, from dining and entertainment to accommodations and waterfront amenities. It is not simply a place to berth a yacht, but an integral part of the destination.”

Wynn Al Marjan Island is being developed by Wynn Resorts with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding and is scheduled to open in 2027.

The wider development will include a hotel, restaurants, retail, entertainment and leisure facilities, as well as the UAE’s first licensed commercial gaming facility.
