Cantiere Rossini has begun construction of the first phase of a Crew Village at its superyacht refit facility in Pesaro, Italy. The development is scheduled to open after summer 2027 and will include a large purpose-built gymnasium and a crew lounge overlooking the marina.
The company has not disclosed the value of the investment, the size of the new buildings or subsequent phases of the project. Rossini said the facilities are intended for captains and crew who may remain at the yard for several months while yachts undergo refit work.
“Refit is about people as much as yachts,” said Stewart Parvin, chief executive of Cantiere Rossini. “Captains and crew can spend months with us. We want to provide the right technical environment for the yacht, but also the right experience for the people behind it.”
The Crew Village will complement activities organised by Rossini’s Xperience Officers, who arrange social events inside and outside the yard for visiting crews.
International superyacht refit facility
Rossini has developed its Port of Pesaro site over the past decade into an international superyacht refit facility.
The yard operates within the Marche region’s established yachtbuilding supply chain, which includes specialist contractors, equipment suppliers and technical professionals. Yacht managers, technical representatives and project teams regularly travel to Pesaro to oversee work.
Regional access is also expanding. Pesaro is within reach of three international airports, while direct services to Barcelona and planned routes to Amsterdam and Nice are expected to improve connections with European yachting centres.
The Crew Village forms part of Rossini’s effort to strengthen its offer to visiting yachts and their personnel as refit activity develops in Pesaro. The company has not provided forecasts for project volumes, employment or revenue associated with the expansion.
