Aquavista has acquired Clyde Marina in Ardrossan, North Ayrshire, taking its UK network to 34 inland and coastal marinas and establishing its first site in Scotland. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The transaction also brings Sunbird International Yacht Sales into the Aquavista group. Clyde Marina is about 30 miles from Glasgow and provides access to Scotland’s west coast cruising grounds and islands.
It joins Aquavista’s coastal locations at Glasson, Hull, Birdham Pool and Royal Clarence, extending the operator’s coverage across the north, east, south and west of Britain.
Aquavista said Clyde Marina’s boatyards and marine services would add to its presence in the coastal leisure sector.
The company has not disclosed planned capital exenditure, staffing changes or an integration timetable.
Marina experience

“It is a respected name within the Scottish marine industry, and we can’t wait to welcome its customers and crew into the Aquavista family.”
He added that Aquavista planned to work with the teams and customers at Clyde Marina and Sunbird International Yacht Sales to improve the marina experience.
Facilities at Clyde Marina include 280 fully serviced marina berths, boatyard facilities, a restaurant, bar and bistro and fuel facilities.
Existing Clyde Marina customers will gain access to Aquavista’s wider network through its Explore 100 and Marina Swap schemes.
