Enrico Gennasio, sole shareholder and director of Cantieri di Pisa, has taken direct operational leadership of the Pisa-based shipyard as the company moves into the next phase of its relaunch.
Gennasio has taken on the role of sole director, giving the ownership more direct oversight of day-to-day operations, production growth, refit business consolidation and new-build activity.
The move follows a change of direction in 2021, after which the ownership invested in the company’s skills base, safeguarded employment and gradually brought production back on line. Cantieri di Pisa says it has since strengthened its position in refit while returning to new-build work.
First all-metal yacht
The yard is currently building a custom 40-metre yacht for a European owner. The project is the first all-metal yacht in Cantieri di Pisa’s history and is scheduled for delivery in summer 2027, followed by presentation at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
As production increases, Gennasio plans to expand the workforce, invest in new model development and continue upgrading the shipyard’s infrastructure and production capacity.

“Today we are taking another step forward with an organisation designed to support the shipyard’s future growth, the consolidation of the refit business, and the brand’s return to the new-build market.”
