Cruisers Yachts has appointed O Marine as its European distributor, following the US boatbuilder’s debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
O Marine will lead the development of the brand’s European sales and support network. Its remit includes establishing dealers in major boating markets and appointing authorised representatives in smaller territories, as well as supporting new yacht purchases, sea trials, servicing and parts supply.
“No product can succeed on quality and innovation alone. It also takes knowledgeable, committed people representing the brand and supporting customers,” said Dan Zenz, vice-president of sales at Cruisers Yachts.
“O Marine brings the retail experience, relationships and market knowledge we need to build the European network we envision for Cruisers Yachts.”
Lasting relationships
Dave Bigge, vice-president of global sales development, said many dealers experienced the company’s boats for the first time at Cannes.
“With O Marine leading our European network, we have the right partner to turn that interest into lasting dealer and customer relationships,” he said.
Carlo Orione, principal at O Marine, described the distributor’s role as ‘the strategic bridge between the shipyard and Europe’, with an emphasis on local knowledge, partnerships and joint market development.
The expansion will be supported by Cruisers Yachts’ product development programme. The company plans to introduce at least two new models annually over the next several years, with greater emphasis on features and design elements intended for international markets.
Cruisers Yachts has more than 70 years of boatbuilding history, the company is a subsidiary of MarineMax.
