Gianluca Gabellini has been promoted to the position of shipyard director for Cantiere Rossini as part of a planned leadership transition.
The appointment is with effect from September 1 2026.
After ten years as shipyard director, Alfonso Postorino has stepped back from the day-today management of the shipyard and takes on the new role of shipyard ambassador.
In this position, he will continue to support the company by providing strategic guidance and representing Cantiere Rossini at major industry events, yacht shows and institutional initiatives.
Gabellini was previously senior project manager at Cantiere Rossini and has played a key role in the delivery of numerous complex refit projects over the years, developing strong relationships with clients, captains and industry professionals.
Outstanding leader
“I first met Alfonso 15 years’ ago, when he was already a highly respected figure in the yachting industry,” said Stewart Parvin, CEO of Cantiere Rossini.
“When we acquired the shipyard in 2015 — which became Cantiere Rossini— he joined as a founding member and shipyard director.”
Parvin continued: “His contribution to building Cantiere Rossini into the shipyard it is today cannot be overstated, and my thanks to him are profound. I look forward to many more years of working alongside him.
“I have also known Gianluca for almost as long. Over the years, I have seen him grow into an outstanding leader.
“As senior project manager, he has earned the trust of both our clients and our team, and I have every confidence that he is the right person to lead the shipyard into its next chapter.”
